Japan summer

I guess the first real post on this blog must be dedicated to the upcoming summer in Japan, usual perception of Japanese: A conservatively dressed race of people, reserved, serious and shy.

Think again, the boys are eagerly ancipating the fast approaching spectacle that is Shinzushi beach in Kanagawa. Conservative is out the door, people are friendly, beach huts open for business pumping out Bob Marley and the bikini patrols commence:)

Summer takes off in Shinzushi from July through August, the beach is packed daily so dont expect an idyllic rest with plenty of room. If you want peace and quiet on a Japanese beach in my experience Miyazaki in Southern Kyushuu is paradise; not many people, beautiful beaches, not bad fishing and plenty of forest.

Anyway, back to the bikinis, as mentioned Shinzushi is packed, with a spectacular array of bikini clad stunning Japanes girls strutting around for all to see and enjoy. Not only that because they are at the beach they are friendly, chatty, drinking and keen to frolick.

How to get there? Take the Keikyu line from Yokohama station to Zushi or Shinzushi station. The beach is walking distance.

The water is as clean compared to other areas of Yokohama, and plenty of other activities such as windsurfing etc. if you ever get your mind off the obvious:) Feel free to post any Shinzushi adventures or proposals below
